The Blues Assassins formed primarily as an outlet for Jonny’s desire for a compact, yet punchy blues combo inspired by the late 60s blues and psychedelia bands and to provide a platform for his own creativity in leading a band. It draws on the extensive experience of the band members to create a consistently tight unit covering a wide range of blues rock, rock ‘n’ roll and rhythm and blues from artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Cream, Robben Ford, B.B. King, Ray Charles, Jeff Healey, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Santana.
